Colloquium on Ignatian Education
The Colloquium on Ignatian Education is a triennial meeting of Ignatian educators focusing on a pertinent current issue in Jesuit secondary education. The Colloquium, as so named, offers Ignatian educators a chance to engage in meaningful conversation about a variety of issues in Jesuit secondary
education. An essential component to the Colloquium is the Ignatian Educators Fair, where Ignatian educators have the opportunity to present effective teaching methodologies and outstanding programs to fellow educators.
Colloquium 2010 was held June 21-25, 2010 at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, CA
About this year's Colloquium -
JSEA Colloquium 2010 “Jesuit Mission - Sent to the Frontiers” was June 21 – June 25 at Santa Clara University. 500 plus Jesuit educators from across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, England, Ireland, and Latin America will participate. At the Colloquium JSEA presented its work on re-visioning the Grad at Grad for participant review and discussion. A major part of the Colloquium is the Ignatian Educators Fair in which more than 100 educators present topics of interest such as mission accountability, best practices, admissions, affordability, spiritual formation, new faculty orientation, use of technology, effective curriculum and teaching. This is a fabulous opportunity to join the larger network of Jesuit schools and educators in professional activities and in enjoying the Bay Area. Jesuit Provincials and other national Jesuit leaders will also participate.
